The National Hemp Association (NHA) is the leading non-profit association dedicated to the rebirth of hemp as a major crop and industry in America. They are a mission-driven organization that helps connect farmers, processors, manufacturers, researchers, investors and policy makers to accelerate the growth of this important industry in the United States.
Founder and President of Bluebird Botanicals, Brandon Beatty, now serves as a Technical Advisor to the National Hemp Association. Bluebird Botanicals and the NHA have also decided to partner in various ways, including working to fully legalize hemp at the federal level and have it completely removed from the Controlled Substances Act.

Our mission at the Industrial Hemp Research Foundation (IHRF), a Colorado based 501(c)3 non-profit, is dedicated to initiating and supporting industrial hemp research programs at institutions of higher learning and education in Colorado. We aim to increase the body of knowledge and raise public awareness of the many known and potential applications of industrial hemp to improve living standards, create jobs, safeguard the environment and enhance the quality of life for all people.
The founder and president of Bluebird Botanicals, Brandon J. Beatty, is a co-founder and served as Treasurer and Director of the IHRF. The rest of the executive committee consists of other experienced industry and academic veterans who all have one thing in common — the vested passion for returning Industrial Hemp as a viable and tradeable commodity in the United States. In addition to Brandon, the IHRF team includes its President David B. Bush, a Denver based attorney specializing in hemp regulations, Executive Director Paul Isham, veteran project manager for Dell, Vice President Grant D. Orvis, Ph.D. and founder of the Colorado Hemp Cooperative, Monika Fleshner, Ph.D and professor of neuroimmunophysiology at Colorado University- Boulder, and Jeffrey Steiner, Ph.d, Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station and Associate Dean of Research at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
